What We Do
Mission: Improving the lives of Pasco's citizens through homeless initiatives, neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, and community partnerships using state and federal funding. Annually, we receive State and Federal Funding to assist the very low to moderate-income citizens of Pasco County. Some of our activities include:
Housing Relief for Hurricane Idalia
Pasco County Community Development is now accepting applications for Hurricane Idalia Disaster Relief for low- and moderate-income citizens who have suffered loss or damage of their primary residence due to the storm.

You can submit your application in the following ways:
These funds are available on to a Pasco County citizen whose home has received damage due to Hurricane Idalia.
Funds may be used for items such as, but not limited to:
This strategy will only be implemented following a disaster as declared by the President of the United States or the Governor of Florida. These funds are intended to supplement other Federal, State, or Insurance benefits, and are a one-time grant award.

- In person at the Community Development Office during regular business hours.
- Email to communitydev@mypasco.net
- Fax to 727-834-3450

- Rental Assistance ($20,000 Maximum)
- Home Repairs ($25,000 Maximum)

We have several programs to help with home ownership. The Homebuyer Assistance Program provides down payment assistance. The Pasco Opportunity Program provides a deep subsidy for the homes built or rehabilitated by partner nonprofit agencies. For additional information, call Community Development at 727-834-3445.
