FAQs
Currently, there are no optional meal choices available. The meals are preplanned and meet the nutrient analysis of a minimum of 33.3%% of the dietary reference intake / adequate intake (DRI/AI) for a moderately active female over the age of 70.
Because we must do a home visit and schedule you on a route, it may take two to three weeks from the time you make the initial call to apply for meals to your first day of delivery. There is currently a waiting list for the meals program. To have your name added to the list contact us at 727-834-3340 or send us a question via our online Customer Service Center.
For home-delivered meals, a person must be at least 60 years old and homebound. Income is not a factor in determining eligibility. Congregate dining centers are open to anyone over 60 years of age, regardless of income.
There is no charge for the meal, but enrollees of the program can make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the meal in the envelope provided for this purpose. Contributions may also be mailed to Pasco County Elderly Nutrition/Meals on Wheels at:
